WE REMEMBER!

The Fifth Grade Students were newborn babies in 2001 when America was attacked on September 11th. It is 2011 and during social studies and writing, the students learn about the events of 9/11 and how the country and other nations pulled together to help those in need. The students made their own promises of ways that they could continue this attitude of selflessness. Students planted a tree on the 5th grade playground in honor of the 9/11 victims and wrote promises to do their best to make the world a better place. Students wrote their promises on strips of paper and planted the promises with the tree.
